So here we are in London and it's Nick's birthday. London is a perfect match for Nick's culinary tastes.... roast lunches, fish and chips, burgers and bangers & mash. We've been celebrating Nick's birthday since Thursday so today we played it pretty low key with a trip to the Borough Market for Nick could have fish & chips for lunch (he's been looking forward to these since we first went to the market about 4 weeks ago) and a "world famous brownie". It was off to Covent Garden for a spot of afternoon shopping then out to Walmer Castle in Notting Hill for drinks for Ditchy-poo's arrival.

Hi rach and nick. It's great to hear from you. Sounds like you're having a good time. Have you found work yet Rach? I'm sure you're taking your time, as I would if I was in London. Take advantage of having some time off. Have you guys trained it to Paris yet? When you do, have a hot chocolate for me and go and treat yourselves with a spot of shopping at Zara.
Things back home are as per normal. We went to Qld - Breoadbeach for 10 days, which was really nice. It's been ages since we had a good break and thank goodness the crazy weather stayed away while we were up there. Chloe's growing and talking lots, John's organising contractors so that we can finally finish off the house and I'm still working 2 days a week and looking after Chloe the rest of the time.
No real news to report back on at this stage. Can't wait to hear more from you.
Talk to you soon.

Hey Rachie! Lovely picture of Nick. Tell him Happy Birthday from us. Congrats on starting your new job today (?). Everything good over here. Jacques and I went with Ange and Jane to a 3 day Christopher Howard seminar on that weekend which was fantastic. I set lots of new goals - one of which is to be spending Christmas in London with you guys in 2010, so are you still going to be there then??? Missing you lots and lots.
Love Claudie xxxx
