Hola Barcelona

We escaped the wintery depths of London by spending Easter in Barcelona. Our weekend was full of Gaudi highlights, afternoon naps and late night dining and drinking. My favourite site was La Sagrada Familia for the sheer ambition of the project and the fact that building it has been underway for over 100 years. I love the idea that it is still being constructed based on Gaudi's original vision and creative intent.

Nick's favourite was La Pedrera which, while being elaborate and decorative, is very practical and appropriate for the lifestyle at the time, maximising light and considering the environment. Here's Nick on the roof as well as a photo where you can see La Sagrada Familia in the background.
